One of the advantages of living in Australia, apart from sun, sand, surf and space, is if you're tooling around on your computer at 11:59pm on July 17th its only 7:29am in Britain on the same day. And therefore you get first log.

67 million years old. So... wouldn't that put it roughly around the same time of the asteroid strike that hit the Yucatán Peninsula?

I wonder if it's an actual victim and that's why it was buried so fast and so well preserved. Ahhh... the odds are fantastically against it I know. Just idle wishful thinking of mine on a Tuesday afternoon. :-)
