Has the Al Dente Inquisition approved of this research?

Just think, this 'scholarly' research puts to shame anything that the IDiots are doing.

Ah, Scientific Evidence for FSM-ID... we should start teaching FSM-ID in science class! Better then just plain Discovery Institute ID!

Look how thoughtful the FSM is, obviously designing the Rigatoni to allow for Penne insertion. Makes me hungry just realizing this merciful and bountiful generosity of the FSM.

But who designed the machine that made the pasta, that's what I want to know!

(and where can you get an attachment for an Imperia pasta machine to make penne and rigatoni?)

From my extensive enquiries, the straight answer appears to be that you can't. Bummer.

They hide the invisible souls of the departed, Steve. When a pasta shell opens it liberates a dead person's essence unto the lord, which is like real cool, y'know. So, saith the FSM, always particularly enjoy your tuna and sweetcorn for thereby lies the path to eternal life wot wiv it being low fat and all that.

Now if someone could only relate angel hair pasta, (note the connection with heavenly bodies) to string theory, we would have everything solved. It could even fit into a GUT.

I propose to test this myself, using locally available source material. No theory is secure unless & until other experimenters can duplicate the results.

AmericanGodless's Avatar Comment 21 by AmericanGodless

This is obvious creationist nonsense. The authors did not even consider the possibility that the pasta is undergoing evolution as a response to extreme conditions (immersion in a universal solvent at phase-transition temperatures). Is it not obvious that the observed insertion is the first step in an early form of sexual reproduction? They did not even check for the presence of offspring. The overly-large pore size of the rigid plastic netting (square holes, sizes 3mm x 4mm and 4mm x 4mm) consigned any progeny from this brave evolutionary attempt to oblivion. This research needs to be repeated, and served with garlic toast and a green salad.

Esteemed prophet Bert O'Lucci did say on the subject of the Hindu scripture The Rig Atoni that there is a divine spirali of taut alini, similar to the cundalini but not really, that linguini forever until the end of the German day i.e. the Tag, and at the end of that day, in a Yorkshire dialect it will inform you of the secret... literally... The Tag'll Tell 'ee.

So it is written, was it not?

Yes! I just got a $50,000 grant from Liberty University to replicate the experiment. That's just about enough to properly equip my laboratory. I'll post the results here if they pass peer review for the Journal of Design Science.

Maybe I can use the results as the topic for my associate's thesis in Intelligent Design.

Some would baulk at the term 'noodly' preferring instead to invoke the Pastagnostic mechanism of 'Cos Cause', rendered into modern English as CousCous. In the noodly, or tentaculate, perception the intervention is slithery whilst the Pastagnostic interpretation, accepted by all civilized folk, is more of a shotgun blast of truth.

You are left to decide for yourself, but make sure you decide right, ok?

One of the most basic laws in the universe is the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This states that as time goes by, entropy in an environment will increase. Evolution argues differently against a law that is accepted EVERYWHERE BY EVERYONE. Evolution says that we started out simple, and over time became more complex. That just isn't possible: UNLESS there is a giant outside source of energy supplying the Pot with huge amounts of energy. If there were such a source, scientists would certainly know about it.
