They had a "Mohican"? Shouldn't that be a "Mohawk"? Two different tribes.

It looks like a mohawk haircut to me:

"The Mohawk hairstyle is named for, and often associated with, the people of the Mohawk nation, an indigenous people of North America who originally inhabited the Mohawk Valley in upstate New York.[1]

This hairstyle was also known among other peoples. For instance, the Clonycavan Man, a 2000-year-old male bog body discovered near Dublin, Ireland in 2003, was found to be wearing a Mohawk styled with plant oil and pine resin.[2]"(wiki)

So the Irish sailed to New York 2,000 years ago and the Mohawk indians copied their haircuts?

Shouldn't it be called a "Clonycaven cut"? Or did the Clonycavens copy the Mohawks? Did the Irish take tobacco back with them 2,000 years ago?

So many unanswered questions....

The first thing that came to my mind on learning this. :)

Do you feel born out of time?
Does your world seem behind you?
You must be ginger.

Gives a whole new meaning to the well-weathered phrase:

Corylus. yes, I been meaning to come back for a spell but it's hard, especially when I'm meant to be working. 1 year old means home time is too hectic and there's the weight loss thing that's taking up time too :-)
I'm busy, me! :-D
J. Mills - no chocs on me! I'm becoming skinny!
