In all fairness, it only suggests Richard Dawkins' face is on the toast, it doesn't actually show a picture of the Prophessor

Nice one! But I'm very disappointed to see that the fatwa title was added here - I had dared hope, just for a moment, that it was actually the title used in the Telegraph itself, which would have been inspired!

With the greatest of respect to Matt, I would like to point out that I did a Dawkins on toast cartoon in Prospect magazine in August: http://bit.ly/cSmcMT

I just saw an advertisement for a toaster that automatically burns features into your toast. You can get the image of jesus, or if you like you can get the image of a pot leaf. If I eat a piece of toast with Dawkins' image on it will that make me smarter. Homeopathic toast ?

Flabbergasted...this morning before flushing I looked back (which I don't do normally) and -behold- I saw a divine creature whom I knew to be in the UK at the moment...magic! there must be more between heaven and earth my friends.

Is this toast the literal embodiment of Richard or is it just intended as a metaphor? Is it desecration to spread jam on it?

Very funny! The Late Late Show in Ireland tonight was a joke - they had some woman on who claimed to be in constant contact with some angel or something. This is the show that keeps Ireland in the dark ages - anyone who remembers Richard's interview with Ryan Tubridy from last year will testify to that.

John Jones's Avatar Comment 23 by John Jones

I can't see what the criticism is about.

I see faces in clouds, trees, tea-leaves - who doesn't? The only difference with me is that if I saw Dawkins face on a piece of toast I would eat it, whereas I suspect some people would think twice about it.
