In a way this makes perfect sense. Given that Americans have proven the religious would be offended by any message we could possibly put up, we might as well say what we really mean since we have to offend anyway. And if they complain about how offensive it is, our response can be, "We've given up on trying to not offend, because in America we bent over so far our spines snapped, without the effort ever being successful".

Wow. These hit really hard. I especially like the last one. I bet these are more effective at raising discussion than the "good without god" angle.

How long till they're translated and put up in the Northern hemisphere?

These are absolutely the way to go. I cheered on the first bus ads of course but got increasing pissed off by their insipid statements; especially when you compare them to the 'Atheists will go to hell' type of Xian shite.

The more strident all atheist intent gets the less the flack RD will get for appearing to stand out in his 'shrillness' (TM)

One to remember!

We need this kind of thing in the UK. Particularly now we have medieval minded cretins sticking up Sharia Law zone stickers in London.

Is that strident ?

Stafford Gordon's Avatar Comment 20 by Stafford Gordon

I especially like the last one, which I think plays on the saying "without God anything is permitted", or however it goes; a saying which is of course a slight against atheists.

Perhaps the other jibe about atheists in foxholes could serve as an inspiration here.

Wow, these billboards are truly fantastic, how the hell are they of so much greater quality and coherency than atheist billboards in western countries?

"You can be good without god", "You are not alone"....seriously?!

I guess atheists in western countries really can talk themselves out of anything...

This more forthright style of campaign can only be for the good.

Great ads, particularly in the heartland of the parasitical Roman Catholic Church. The third one reminds me of Victor Stenger's comment "Science flies us to the moon. Religion flies us into buildings." How about that for a billboard, with Dr Stenger's permission of course.

Thumbs up to the "If God exists, everything is permitted" sign. This atheist will adopt that as his slogan when next arguing with a god-botherer.

Cheers
