Announcing the linking of comments on the current and beta sites

We are now linking this and future article postings for commenting purposes on both the current and beta sites.
You will notice that Disqus is the commenting application used for both. Please use this article to test this out if you like. Comments made on either site on the same article will appear together.
If there are any issues please click on the green "report a problem" button on richarddawkins.net or send an e-mail to feedback@richarddawkins.net about an issue on either site.
To format text using Disqus for the time being you can use tags for bold, italics, links, and blockquote by inserting the html tags for those.
If you are unfamiliar with html you can find examples and a method to test them at the W3Schools site -
here for bold and italics, and
here for blockquotes
This is an article with more information we posted when testing Disqus last year on rd.net
Notes 16-Jun
A list of allowable html tags with Disqus is here http://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/466253
Pending approval vs automatically approved comments: If your comment contains a url it is automatically posted to the pending queue waiting approval by one of the mods - that usually doesn't take too long as we keep an eye on it but that' somewhat dependent on the timezone. We have moderators both in the UK and the US GMT-7
The issue with comments needing approval before they appear if they contain a url has been updated. If you post a comment with a url it will now appear immediately.
