Christians are only as morally as the culture they are living in but like to use their book as a reference to that.

Then they pick verses from the bible and say: Look, here it says such and such- the bible knew it, only the people in the centuries before us didn`t realize it. But thats their fault because they weren`t able to read the bible.


So in the end, the bible is like a treasure map- but you are only able to understand the map AFTER you have found the treasure (=one moral objective).

So what good is such a map, if it doesn`t help you find the treasure and you can only backwards rationalize and understand the different clues after you have found it anyways?
