Attack of the Theocrats!
This argument for a 'source' of morality annoys me. It makes as much sense as attempting to find grammar rules in the constelations.
If we have no absolute source of morality, then why should that entail that we'll become hedonistic sadist monsters anyway? Why should that stop us from establishing morality rules ourselves? And why should we think that a set of moral rules based on the concept of reducing suffering and protecting our specie's future has any less value?
