Religion deals with the supernatural, for which there can be no verifiable evidence that it even exists by its very definition. Science deals with the natural, for which claims and observations can be empirically validated via peer review.
Religion intrudes on the grounds of science with nothing verifiable to bring to the table. Science rightfully overturns the age old beliefs of religion with evidence.
