Why is Theology a subject? Well, what else are smart-but-deluded people supposed to do? Architects know that you don't build on quicksand - at least, not before calling in the Civil Engineers to sink a foundation to something solid - but Theologists are the ones choosing to build castles in the air, with no need for foundations of any sort.
Let such people stay in Academia: it keeps them off the streets, away from such dangers as are found in the real world. I don't want them in manufacturing, construction, or government!
