Nice to see another article by A C Grayling!
More intelligent, and common-sense, writing.
It is a pity it will have absolutely NO effect on the 'faithful', who will carry on under their delusion that 'Truth' can be found without effort or hard work, just by reciting from some old book - or from the authority of a demagogue.
What Grayling says has been known for millenia (see Lucretius), but that hasn't stopped generations of 'the faithful' from killing and persecuting anyone whose views they disagree with.
Will there ever be an end to such folly? I hope so, but I'm not holding my breath!
