But, the U.N. General Assembly has approved a non-binding resolution several times. It seems that the Islamic countries are trying to dominate the U.N. itself on this issue and have had some success at it.

In the spring 2009, there was talk afoot about a binding resolution coming before the G.A. I don't know what happened to it. Even if it were to pass in the U.N., the U.S. 1st Amendment doesn't leave enough wiggle room (I hope) for it to be enforced in the U.S. anytime soon. But, the U.S. not enforcing it would make great propaganda for tyrants who hate freedom of speech.
Just pointing out that the problem has gone beyond the UNHRC.
