Yeah, it was pretty entertaining, but I made sure to take the time to find out which of his claims were justified and which were bullshit (i.e. the comparison of Jesus to Horus, lifted straight from Zeitgeist.)
Ahyway, this is pretty vexing. You would think the band director would understand how controversial his choice was, though. I wonder if he was trying to draw attention to the problem of science illiteracy, or just having a bit of a chuckle while he poked the hornet's nest?
Not that I'm rebuking him. I think it's beautiful the way he's exposed the ass-backwardness of his school district.
