These laws tend not to apply to non-Muslims, but if you are a Muslim who wants to gamble and drink it's not as easy as converting to another religion since the crime for apostasy is often death. So you're either born to rock and roll, or you're not.
(Does Indonesia have identity cards with one's religion printed on it? I seem to recall it does).
