Hey, who doesnt like fried fish and french fries. It could be worse, they could have decided that your national dish was yorkshire pudding or sheppards pie. EDITED to say that you rarely see the traditional maltvin and are more likely to see a chipoltle mayo or even somthing resembling tartar sauce here in the US.
