Karen Armstrong gets it RIGHT !

If the religious can cherry pick, so can I and I choose to ignore all of Armstrong's nonsense and quote the one intelligent line from her diatribe, "As soon as we became recognizably human, men and women started to create religions. ". What??? That's right. She admits that humans "create religion". What does that imply. She seems to not understand her own comment. Religions spring from our own silly minds. They don't exist in reality. God doesn't exist apart from our idea of god. We create the idea in our mind and then run with it as the most important thing there can possibly be and make up rules for ourselves to live by and rules that make it OK to kill others and subjugate them based on all sorts of ignorant criteria. We create the problem. No question about that.
