Attack of the Theocrats!
I just love it when somebody trots out a series of big numbers to prove that the actual chance of something happening is too remote to matter. That is not how random works. Everything has an equal chance of happening until it doesn't and having more amino acids to form more proteins doesn't mean the chance for mutation diminishes.
I have the most fun explaining random chance to little kids because their minds are open enough to the truth. A random something will happen, whether good or not does not concern random and random cares nothing for careful calculations of chances. Random just happens whether you want it to or not.
