If you are religious then Pat Robertson could be right. Here's my thoughts. Haiti's earthquake, even under insurance policies, is considered an Act of God. So, if it's an Act of God and he did it purposefully, then he's cruel. If He didn't do it but ignored it, then He's cruel. If He didn't do it and couldn't intervene, then He's incompetent. Or, there is no Acts of God because there is no God. So you are left believing in either a cruel God or an incompetent God, or you are left unbelieving.
