There is good reason to think that fundamentalists are working their way into government everywhere. The pope, and Mr Blair have advocated fighting to end secularism.
Here in Oz the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition are both religious wingnuts, as was the former PM. They have instigated chaplaincies in public schools, tried to prevent the removal of religious indoctrination in those schools, funded religious conventions for millions in tax payers money but would not fund the global atheist conference for one dollar.
