When I was a lad - long before reaching the age of reason - I would pray that the monster in my closet would not come out during the night and eat me. And my prayer was answered each and every time! So there's your proof!
On a more serious note, I have to wonder why the people of this community pray for good police work. Why not eliminate the middle-man and simply pray that all criminals become good citizens overnight?
