One of the reasons Richard has been my intellectual hero for decades is because he openly admitted he was wrong, in the matter of the Zahavian Handicap Principle, for example. His honesty, even enthusiasm, about changing his mind was amazing. I could find no better example of what being a scientist, and an honest person, should be about: having your mind changed by reasoning and evidence, and welcoming that change.

Bravo to Richard for having the decency to admit mistakes. Let's hope the site can move on from this.
