I agree. I suspect, however, that if the question had been about Creationism's clone, Intelligent Design (which claims to be a legitimate 'science' subject) his answer may have been different. Or maybe I credit him with more cunning and less honesty than he deserves.
Certainly, a good performance by Richard, and judging by the applause for him, appreciated by the audience.
Those Australian politicians all looked to me like they'd never thought, let alone talked, about any of these questions until that evening!
