Attack of the Theocrats!
Nunbeliever to keddaw
"Frankly, I do not give a damn what you think if you would just be kind enough to keep your ideas to yourself. Thank you, and goodbye!"
People don't typically argue with those whose opinions they don't give a damn about.
keddaw to Nunbeliever
"You are taking on faith that the claims you have read (wherever you get your info) is true and the predictions are definite."
keddaw: If you have not already done so you may want to check out what the late Michael Crichton (I think that's the spelling) wrote about the environmental movement. He compares it DIRECTLY to a religion complete with a garden of eden (world before industrialization) and a Revelation style doomsday scenario (global warming).
Now before anyone starts telling me that Michael Crichton is not a climate authority let me add that I'm not citing him as such. What I am trying to do is point out parallels between the AGW camp and conventional religion.
Religion really has nothing to do with the supernatural. It's about trusting authority (ANY authority) implicitly.
I think it's becoming increasingly clear who here is truly without religion.
