I recall hearing a radio program - I think it was 'The Moral Maze' on BBC - in which Richard Dawkins quietly and incisively laid bare the stupidity of Melanie Phillips' arguments. I almost felt sorry for her!
If I'd been humiliated on national radio in that way, I would be tempted (I'm ashamed to say) to write an article a bit like this one.
It's no good, Melanie! You're out of your league. Stick to basic Daily Mail fodder, and write articles about dogs fouling pavements.
