Whenever I'm feeling embarrassed about being American, I think about British libel law and feel positively liberated. I'm very pleased with the result, but there still needs to be a drastic change in the law.
Question: Do High Court decisions have the same legal weight as Federal Circuit Court/Supreme Court decisions do in the US? That is, does this decision set precedent that will affect how other cases are decided? Or does the decision just bear on the Singh case?
