a/ it'll make Simon some dosh, and
b/ it will spread a bit of wonderful science exposition.
Simon is one of our best science writers (OK, Richard, you are too), and both he and his subject deserve the widest possible audience.
I must also commend the judges on a very reasoned and readable judgement, reminiscent in so many ways of the excellent and riveting ruling by Judge Jones in the Kitzmiller case back in 2005. But a lot shorter, of course.
