It is stupid to call the Vatican a sovereign state. It is just a large building. The billion Catholics are NOT citizens of the Vatican. They are members of the Catholic Church.
It is time that all religions lose the exemptions to generally applicable laws everywhere. Those that have worked to protect criminals should be held accountable.
