Just one point about LSawnson that everyone appears to have missed. He seems to be claiming that there are only 2 worldviews - that of creationism believing Christians and atheists. It's an old fundie trick of rhetoric along with the fundie side step.
The other fundie game he is playing is trying to equate lack of belief in (his) reliigion with despotism and totalitarianism. There's no such link I'm pleased to say. However, the belief is rsmpant amongst American fundies.
