Tough sh*t that gay rights "hurt" the US military chaplaincy. The military doesn't exist for the benefit of conservative evangelical chaplains. It exists for the benefit of all US citizens (including gays). Quite frankly if they don't like gays benefiting from it (and helping pay their salaries), they should find work elsewhere. They are public servants and answerable, at the end of the day, to the public at large, not their religious sect, denomination or beliefs.
