jhellegers: Do you suppose I can build a synagogue in Mecca, next to the Kaaba? Or in Medina? Or anywhere else in Saudi Arabia? How about a Baptist church next to the Kaaba? How about if I preach Roman Catholicism (free speech, you know) anywhere in Saudi Arabia? If I tried, I would be killed. Well, whether you wish to admit it or not, Islam is a totalitarian ideology (and a religion) that, given a chance, will take away everyone's free speech. People are free to advocate Islam in America, but there are limits. When I am allowed to build a synagogue and a Christian church next to the Kaaba, Muslims can build a mosque next to Ground Zero. Until then, I will be adamantly opposed to such a mosque.
