Dear Roger,
I think the film might be very interesting as it's useful to know more about the large number of religions and belief systems to which so many people ascribe such huge importance. Understanding the points of view of others is vitally important if one is to take issue with those points of view; the way organisations, especially religious ones, are constructed and are socially propogated is surely of interest to all those for whom religion is a largely negative social force. I for one continue to be amazed by the extraordinary things people believe and I think the film might be instructive and informative. I'll reserve my judgement as to the films merits, though, until I've seen it.
