Mr. Hitchens, I wish you all the best going forward in you overcoming this most grave challenge. You are a tough enough of an SOB that with attitude you can beat the bastard. Hang on to that. I look forward to hearing your great (albeit raspy) voice again. You're going to scare alot of Nurses that care for you. Make friends with the Nurse that doesn't scare. That Nurse WILL be your greatest advocate.
