@ Hubriss I agree, it's the kind of morals religions claim, ones that were given to it by man. Capitalism as a system has no morals whatsoever all it has are the standards of the people that exercise it. As with most things in life "man" comes in a great big bell curve, arseholes at one end - angels at the other and most of us in the middle. To suggest capitalism, religion or any other man made idea/philosophy has morals other than that of the participants, ie a great big boring bell curve, is just stupid.
NOTE: There are some statistical exceptions to the rule, for example the ease and acceptance of child rape in the catholic corporation draws a larger number of pedophiles to that organisation than to other walks of life. So a slightly larger "arsehole" component to that bell curve. It may also be argued that it also draws more angels too?Permalink Fri, 03 Sep 2010 14:48:13 UTC | #510679
