The biggest long run hurtle I see for humanity's survival is that modern safety and heath care have done a good job of reducing/stopping evolution. And particularly I do think that the smartest people are likely to be procreating the most (more likely the opposite).
So even if we do not kill our selves in the next few years, we could continue to get ourselves in apocalypse situations and eventually go extinct.
