Prof. Dawkins, I've always thought that the thought experiment you mentioned in the talk--about the chain of hand-holding human mothers that stretches for miles, reaches our common ancestor with chimps, and hooks back along the chain of hand-holding chimp mothers--is one of the most vivid, haunting, powerful conceptualizations of evolution out there. It has stuck with me for a long time. Thanks for sharing it once again!
