That was incredibly moving to watch, such a great man (in more than one respect) struck down by such a cruel, unforgiving illness. He's had such an enormous influence on me and I almost think of him as a relative now, even though I've never met him. That's a credit to his personality I think.

I've been thinking of writing to Christopher for a while now but I've always thought he would be too busy, but after what he said at the end I really want to. Would anyone by any chance know of his email address?

i wrote to him in july -- i sent it c/o the atlantic.
