Separationists have been observing the anniversary of the treaty of Tripoli for years, especially since the rise of the "Christian nation" lie. I wish the Secular Coalition hadn't protested about atheists not being invited to the Washington prayer service. They've now branded all atheists with their twisted logic of what should strictly be a First amendment issue. Why couldn't they instead observed this significant date in the history of secular democracy instead?
