I'm with Steven in also wondering what happens to her seat. If she is lucid and communicative, will she be able to retain her congressional authority from her sickbed (as many have done during temporary illnesses and I think Ted Kennedy even did at the end of his life). At what point would she be declared unfit and her seat filled by someone else. And how is that done? I am sure that is all set down some place in a Congressional rule book.
I wake up each morning and rush to the internet to get the news on how she is progressing, but am also conscious that she is one of the "good guys" in Congress and don't want that voice to be silenced.
