The guy is 83. That's a little ambitious.
It won't fall. It will recede into irrelevance, hopefully over the next century.
I am hoping that my great grandchildren will view the pope in the same way as the Archbishop of Canterbury is viewed today - as a silly, mostly harmless person in charge of a silly and mostly harmless institution.
