I think Newton's laws are not nearly as counter intuitive as QM and SR. I struggled a bit getting them at school, but not nearly as much as I did with the other two (my physics education stopped at undergrad level).
I really don't think they'd be accepted if it wasn't for the fact that they and they alone explain the observed phenomena they cover. Time slows down, lengths change, objects go through walls, etc etc - not without evidence, surely?
