I'm having trouble getting to the linked article. However, based on what Richard wrote I also fail to understand what there is to be offended by.
Richard's explanation about the inferences drawn by some people about "biological" facts echoes the criticism of his book "The Selfish Gene" (despite the concluding pages which contain a more optimistic view). The fact that men are more likely to have sex with a person they just met than are women is just a fact. It does not in any way dictate a particular person's behavior in a particular situation. Right?
