At what point were xtians awarded a monopoly on being offended. Richard, Hitchens et al are regularly insulted ( shrill, strident etc ) as are all other atheists by association with them. And yet the "godless", apparently, have no right to claim offense, and if we do the stock answer appears to be, well you did claim that god probably does'nt exist, soooooo!!, you asked for it and thats that.
I would posit that this is yet another example of christianity being allowed to delude it self that their particular faith naturally claims an importance in the public concsiousness. Thus ignoring falling church attendence and the gradual erosion of faith in general.
