I seem to remember Feynman cracked/hacked all the codes to his colleagues secure filing cabinets when he was working on the Manhattan Project.

My memory is this that, like a lot of hacking, this involved a bit of social engineering. I think Feynman realised you could read the codes when the file cabinets were open so hewcould stand in a colleagues office talking to a him and read off the codes with his fingers behind his back. Later if the person needed the cabinet opened he could make a performance of pretending to open it while in reality just entering the code.
