It's not that difficult. The people who think his philosophy is good argumentation for his worldview don't really understand it. They certainly do not understand the complexity of the physics, cosmology and mathematics he abuses. Thus they fall back on the confidence of the performer and the aura that is projected by him in addition to the bemused reactions of his opponents - such as Krauss - which they perceive as someone being defeated by Craig's arguments.
That, I suppose, is a skill in itself.
