Just watched Part 2 and the account of British intellectuals and writers' fascination with the growing American Empire as their own died off. I wonder whether we'll now see a shift of focus in the same manner to India and China and maybe Brazil as their power extends? Perhaps an exodus of sorts from Europe and the US? It will be very interesting to see what kind of scientific and literary developments will come out of these places in the next few decades.
