← I think we've been insulted by American book publishers

Bizarre. It's a self-perpetuating cycle, isn't it? Since so many of us are gullible cretins, books and TV are tailored to pander to error rather than to challenge and criticize, so the population becomes increasingly more gullible.

I can think of about 10 different paranormal douche-o-ramas, on American TV. But even on the proper science fiction shows, the supernatural always seems to find its way in. It is (and I don't use this word often), ridonculous. I will bring back the word "ridonculous", I will go there, because it's that bad. Yesterday, I watched a program where a woman whose world was infested by man-sized alien insects say the Lord's Prayer before her dinner. As if the alien insects invading her world had no significance, she and her friends said a little prayer and then they ate, and then presumably went out to kill some more invaders.

What the hell?
