Charles is, I regret to say, an idiot. His impending reign is the best argument for Republicanism I can imagine. Britons largely view his mother with genuine affection.

Charles is a lying, cheating, unfaithful snob who entered into a sham marriage, shamelessy abusing his bride; a dilettante in the worst possible sense, knowing a dangerous little amount about lots of things, a complete dinosaur as regards his sense of entitlement (he has seven boiled eggs, time slightly differently, so he can pick the one he likes), and he is anti-democratic - persistently and often successfully undermining decisions taken in the name of the people to superimpose his own will (most notbly in the planning area).

He has, as far as I can see, absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever.
