I'm a Brit, brought up to be resepectful and supportive of royalty. To have an oaf such as this in a position primed for accelerated influence over the decisions of governments and societies is frightening.

Perhaps I'm in a minority, but I'll not stand for a national anthem that sponsors such stupidity as Mr Windsor's.

It's possible that the nation earns some revenue because of traditions connected with this bunch of privileged elitists. I'd be happy to see them sidelined by the great minds and characters bred and nurtured in these beautiful countries; Stephen Fry (ironically a friend of the snake-oil peddler general), Stephen Hawking, Christopher Hitchens, Billy Connolly, Gerry Robertson, medical professionals, police officers, many educators.....
