National Catholic Safeguarding Commission, the body set up to improve the church's response to abuse claims.

The equivocation in this statement is interesting. How does the improvemenmt go? New ways to cover their arses or are they actually doing something constructive about the claims and the victims?

The surge is most likely due to the latent anger of the victims and publicity backlash around the abuse allegations which made victims realise they were actually not alone and that people did believe them and wnated someting done about their plight. They have lived a life of terrible abuse and guilt and some may never step forward.

I'd hate to see the catholic spin doctors crediting the demented nazi runt with helping victims when he has been proven beyond any doubt whatsoever to have protected their tormentors.
