I was at Columbia in the mid 1970, and from time to time I would see Nim dressed like any human toddler sitting on the campus lawn interacting with one of the grad students. It was a touching sight and I always had to stop myself from going over to go over the little fellow and giving him a hug. How sad it makes me to think of the poor chimp's tragic fate.
